I came upon this lovely inner courtyard while visiting Safed's artists' quarter.  Despite the hustle and bustle nearby, this was a welcome serene and quiet spot. Blue, symbolizing heaven in the kabbala, is a predominant colour on walls, doors and lintels in this ancient mystical city.
