Around the Corner, Safed.

Sunlight always draws me to a scene. In this case, I was strolling through Safed's old quarter, looking for subjects to paint. I turned a corner and suddenly saw it - this scene that begged to be painted. I felt a strong emotional drive to capture the brilliance of the blue door and the shadow of the archway. As always, I used varying color on many of the brush strokes, aiming for subtle changes in the richness of the shadow cast by the archway.
