A nature lover and avid walker, I am beguiled by the varying shades of green throughout Israel. In the Galilee one can find lush greens, especially in the early spring. This scene uses "negative shapes" to highlight the contrasts between the light trees in the foreground and the dark receding trees in the background. Shades of Hookers green, Sap green, Cadmium yellow and Lemon yellow dominate my palette in this picture.
