Rehov Emek Refaim is a wonderful place to explore and paint. It is a little over a kilometer long. Many of the houses were established by German Christian Templars who settled in the area in 1873. Several residential homes have been converted into charming cafes and stores. This particular window is somewhat out of the ordinary. It is slightly angled and built into a whitewashed wall. What drew me to this particular scene were the intriguing patterns cast by the lantern, the blue sky caught by the window and the stark white flowers in bloom.
