Being at the right place at exactly the right time is a painter's delight.  I was touring Israel's magnificent Hula valley where hundreds of thousands migrating birds visit each year.  A storm

threatened to ruin the day, but suddenly the clouds parted, the rain stopped and a glorious mist began to rise. It was a stirring scene and painting it was simply thrilling.
